Some information on Green Iguanas
Habitat:
-Iguanas extend from Southern Mexico, central Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, The Caribbean
-The have also been found in Florida, Hawaii, and the U.S Virgin Islands
-Iguanas are great climbers so they spend most of their day up in the trees(for the exception of mating, or changing trees, and sometimes just to bask in the sun)
-Iguanas are mostly found in tropical areas
Diet in the wild:
-Green Iguanas are herbivores(plant eaters)
-In the wild iguanas mostly feed on leaves, flowers, and Fruit
-In captivity iguanas can eat fruits, vegetables (turnip greens, acorn squash, butternut squash, collards, mango, and parsnip)
-Juveniles in the wild often eat the feces of adults to get all the acquired essentials to help digest their hardy vegetarian diet
Breeding:
-Iguanas being oviparous They can lay from 20-70+ eggs in one clutch a year
-Eggs will hatch after 10-15 weeks of incubation
-Hatchlings are on average of 4-6 inches long at birth
