Some information on Crested Geckos
Habitat:
-In 1994 the crested gecko was rediscovered in New Caledonia (group of islands off the coast of Australia)
-Crested geckos love to climb and hide
-Found in rainforests
Diet in the wild:
-Crested geckos are known to eat 75% of fruits in the wild
Breeding:
-Crested geckos can lay up to 2 eggs
-Eggs will hatch 60-90 days of incubation
-Female only has to mate with a male once to have 2 eggs every month (for 8-10 months)
Life span:
-The life span of a crested gecko in captivity that is properly cared for can live 10-15 years of age
